Recently we had our first informational meeting for parents regarding the expansion project. Among other things, we discussed the things we value in a school. Safety, good instruction, and communication are just some of the things that came up. Jane and I shared some things from our own “wish list,” generated from both our experiences as parents and as educators as well as our personal philosophies of education. Moreover, there were several opportunities for meaningful discourse during and after the presentation. Needless to say, it was a very productive hour.

K-5 Expansion Project
Curriculum Coordinator, M.Ed.
I first met Jane Pyecha when we worked together at the International Community School of Addis Ababa. Although a decade ago, I can still remember the sensitivity, kindness and eagerness that she showed her students. Plus she knew her stuff too! Years later when I had my first son, I didn't hesitate to enroll him in her learning center. Now I have the privilege of working with Jane once again, this time to extend the elementary school to grade 5 and beyond. What an exciting year it will be!
